Saboteur

This is another thing Obama can add to his "legacy", the fact that his spitefulness is deliberately sabotaging Trump even before he takes office.  There are 20 days left till Inauguration Day - what damage will he do next?

I like what Roger L. Simon wrote: "One of the great mysteries of our times is why Barack Obama is still so popular.  His presidency achieved nothing, not even for his own core constituencies, and now, on his way out the door, he is doing everything in his power to make life miserable for Donald Trump, his voters, the American people at large actually, the state of Israel, naturally, and even the world.  And Obama has already made clear that he does not intend to go quietly after January 20.  He will make his views known loud and clear. Please, no."

All I can hope is that Trump and his team can reverse all the damage this petty man has done, and throw it all back in his face.  Among other things, I'd love to see Trump meet with Putin and end this new Cold War with Russia; discover that the real hackers were members of the DNC; prove to be a genuine friend to Israel; and successfully drill for as much oil as possible.

Whitman and Volvo

I had guessed that “The east and the west are mine, the north and the south are mine. All seems beautiful to me." was Walt Whitman, but I had to look online to learn that it's Josh Brolin who narrates this Volvo commercial.  His voice, the words, and the music, more than the car itself, make me stop and watch.

Lots 'o Links

This outrageous week is summed up nicely in posts at Larwyn's Linx, Maggie's Farm, and Betsy's Page.

As a bonus, here's an amusing analogy, from Flopping Aces:  "The 'Russian Malicious Cyber Activity – Joint Analysis Report' is pure nonsense. It outlines nothing more than vague and disingenuous typical hacking activity that is no more substantive than any other hacking report on any other foreign actor. This might as well be a report blaming Nigerian fraud phone solicitors for targeting U.S. phone numbers. DUH! Just because your grandma didn’t actually win that Nigerian national lottery doesn’t mean the Nigerian Mafioso are targeting your employer to hold you accountable for her portion of the bill."

The Obama Administration: Vicious, and Vichy

I was enraged when I read this. Are they kidding? "Kerry Rebukes Israel, Calling Settlements a Threat to Peace.
WASHINGTON — In a harsh rebuke of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of Israel, Secretary of State John Kerry declared on Wednesday that the United States cannot 'allow a viable two-state solution to be destroyed before our eyes.'
Mr. Kerry, in one of his last speeches as secretary of state, said that Mr. Netanyahu was allowing the agenda of the settler movement to define the future of Israel. But he said 'there is still a way forward if the responsible parties are willing to act.'
And he defended the Obama administration’s policy on Israel, citing what he called unprecedented military assistance and cooperation. 'No American administration has done more for Israel’s security than Barack Obama’s,' he declared."

Just how low can these people go in the 22 days they have left? It's not nearly soon enough for me. They are showing themselves to be the enemy, and any Jews who still insist on voting for Democrats after this are deluded and crazy.

Obama and His Legacy

The only think missing from this Ramirez cartoon is the shameful U.N. resolution laying on that chair on the left.

Happy Retirement, Thomas Sowell!

Here is Dr. Thomas Sowell's final Random Thoughts column, which I've greatly enjoyed over the years.

Obama the Backstabber!

Note that the headline of this article is "Israel fears Obama will strike again": "David Keyes, a spokesman for Netanyahu, said Sunday that Israel has 'ironclad information' that the US worked with the Palestinians on the anti-Israel UN resolution."

"Kulanu leader Finance Minister Moshe Kahlon criticized U.S. President Barack Obama, saying, 'We've talked a lot about the significance of the Security Council resolution, but we need to take note of one thing: how our best friends in the U.N. turned their backs on us at the moment of truth. That's the most shocking part of the story.'"

Let's be very thankful that Donald Trump will be our President instead of Hillary Obama Clinton! And be thankful presidents can only run for two terms, because Obama Says He Would Have Defeated Trump for a Third Term.

Obama Lie of the Day

WH: Obama Has Done More For Israel Than Any Previous U.S. President.
Of course, this is obviously a typo. The newspaper meant to write that Obama has done more TO Israel than any previous president.

Obama's Anti-Israel Legacy

What an absolute disgrace this soon-to-be ex-President is! This is just unbelievable:  "The United States intended to allow the U.N. Security Council to approve a resolution demanding an end to Israeli settlement building, two Western officials said on Thursday, a major reversal of U.S. practice, which prompted Israel to ask President-elect Donald Trump to apply pressure."

So after 8 long years, Israel still can't trust Obama and has to appeal to a man who hasn't even taken the oath of office yet.  What a desperate situation.

He's obsessed with his legacy, and now Obama will go down in history alongside Jimmy Carter as the most blatantly anti-Israel Presidents.

Melodious Melodica!

Watch this unique version of The Nutcracker Suite performed by two guys calling themselves The Melodica Men.  A melodica, which I had never heard of till now, is like a harmonica and a piano at the same time.

Argus Hamilton Quips

Here's Argus Hamilton's latest column full of his observations on the news, including this item: "President Obama held his final press conference of the year Friday before he goes on vacation to Hawaii. He sounded buoyant. Barack Obama came outside on Friday morning and saw that he was still president, and traditionally that means six more weeks of light interviews on late-night TV."

But this is no laughing matter: it's frightening to think of the damage Obama can still manage to inflict on us in his final 30 days in office.  This action today sounds like pure spite to me: Eyeing Trump, Obama takes new action to ban Arctic drilling.  What else does he have up his sleeve?

Wheel of Misfortune

I saw this Glenn McCoy cartoon over at Lucianne.com today.

Christmas in Black & White

The deliberate lack of Christmas lights and decorations here has been positively eerie. Last year was the first time I noticed the bleakness, but it's even worse now.  It's like going from color to black & white, and I remembered how drab and grey China was under Mao.  I thought maybe I was imagining things until I saw this Dennis Prager column today.  It's called Where Have All the Christmas Decorations Gone?  He blames it on secularism and writes, "When I compare blocks of homes without Christmas decorations with blocks filled with homes that have Christmas decorations, I think of my trips to the Soviet Union and other Communist countries. One of the first things that struck any visitor from the West was how gray everything looked. There was essentially no color – just as today’s decoration-free homes appear in comparison with those with decorations."

Sad -- they've not only taken the Christ out of Christmas, they've also taken the delight out of it. Our Hanukah candles will be the only light on the block.

Here We Go Again Saying Here We Go Again!

History keeps repeating itself, and people keep having trouble admitting it's terrorism. Today, a terrorist drove a truck into a crowd in Berlin: How Christmas market carnage unfolded: 'Afghan refugee' turned off HGV's lights and drove stolen lorry into shoppers at 40mph killing 12 and injuring 48 after first 'hijacking and killing the driver'.

Does anyone remember the attack in Nice, France this summer in which an Islamic terrorist drove a truck into a crowd? This must be the latest terrorist weapon of choice. Yep, ISIS is on the run all right -- right across Europe.

Also, the Russian Ambassador to Turkey was chillingly assassinated in an art gallery today, but remember: 'Obama brought a welcome sense of calm and stability to the relationship with Europe after the turbulence of the Bush era,' Mr. Robertson said."

Cuckoo Coup

These Democrats and liberals are nuts, sending death threats to electors pledged to Trump, and thinking their commercial full of nobodies can sway people. In case you missed it, the presidential election was on November 8, Trump won, Hillary lost -- and you fools should stop acting like the spoiled babies you are!  Shut up and get a life already, or start planning for the 2020 elections (which you'll lose if you keep this up.)

The Hollow Heads

While watching the marvelous "The Hollow Crown" on PBS tonight, I thought of this latest self-destructive example of political correctness:   "Students at the University of Pennsylvania removed a portrait of Shakespeare from a prominent location in the school’s English department after complaining that he did not represent a diverse range of writers.
In fact, the chair of the department confirmed in a statement that the portrait was stripped from the wall by his students as 'a way of affirming their commitment to a more inclusive mission for the English department,' The Daily Pennsylvanian reports.
Additionally, Department Chair Jed Esty explained that the portrait was 'delivered' to his office and replaced with a photograph of Audre Lorde, a celebrated African American feminist and author, in a move that was intended to send a message to Esty, whose department agreed to replace the portrait several years ago.
Esty went on to confirm that the portrait of Lorde will remain in Shakespeare’s place until he and his colleagues can reach an agreement on what to do next, announcing the establishment of a 'working group' to help monitor the process."

Did this Audre Lorde write ever write great tragedies and comedies to compete with the language and the scope of William Shakespeare? These so-called students are cutting off their noses to spite their moronic faces.

Normal Vs. Abnormal

I like the 5 minute argument at American Digest titled "Within Living Memory: Norming the Perverted" - or as I call it, normal vs. abnormal.  At least I'm old enough and lucky enough to remember what normal was really like, whereas kids growing up today think this IS normal!

Fiction Is Stranger Than Truth

The constant reporting on the alleged Russian hackers who supposedly caused Hillary Clinton to lose the election reminds me of the Muslim filmmaker who supposedly caused the "spontaneous riots" in Benghazi. I half expect Susan Rice to pop up on all the Sunday news shows again.

Red Line = Dead Line

Here's World Jewish Daily on Obama's culpability in Syria:  "When the Iranian army and its goon squads entered Eastern Aleppo and began murdering and raping men, women, and children, it was the United States that was standing idly by as a feeble, culpable witness. No greater crime can be lobbed at the failed presidency of Barack Obama than his inaction in Syria. He leaves the world an utterly more dangerous, disastrous place than when he took office."

I thought the mumps had been eradicated, but it looks like I'm wrong:  "Mumps cases at a 10-year high, colleges hard hit."  That's just great.

Argus Hamilton Quips

You will enjoy the latest column of Argus Hamilton, whose comments on the current news includes this item:  "The California Assembly proposed a bill Monday to protect illegal aliens from being deported by President Trump by creating a sanctuary state. The next day, illegal immigrants told CNN that they were determined to stay in America and live free. All they have to do now is qualify for disability."

Regretful About Rudy

I was very surprised and sorry to learn that America's Mayor, Rudy Giuliani, had withdrawn from consideration for the post of Secretary of State.  It's a loss for our country. Trump's picks for his cabinet have been very smart until now, and I hope he will at least still consider John Bolton. Can you imagine the confirmation hearings for David Petraeus? Pro-Hillary Democrats will be positively salivating to get their hooks into a man with his own e-mail scandal!

The Closer He Gets to Leaving Office, The Worse He Looks

Obama is ending his Nobel Prize-winning Presidency with the same old obsessions and lies. He sounds desperate and petty, and he will probably turn out to be as obnoxious an ex-President as Jimmy Carter has been. I can't picture Obama leaving a gracious note in the desk drawer for Trump to find, the way GW Bush did for him, can you?

Item: "White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest castigated Congress on Wednesday for preventing the closure of the Guantanamo Bay military prison in Cuba." Yes, keeping dangerous terrorists out of our country is a bad thing.

Item: "President Obama’s Deceitful, Deliberately Misleading Claims On Terror Are Dangerous And Irresponsible."  Yes, it's been a very peaceful 8 years.

Item:  "Now they tell us.  A new report on the economy finds that productivity growth is at a 50-year low and that much of the positive talk about the nation's financial situation in the last election, much of it coming from the administration, was a lie."  Gee, what a surprise. This is reminiscent of the lies about the unemployment rate right before the 2012 election.

Keep it up -- your "legacy" is looking more pathetic by the day!

He's Got a Secret

A secret deal, that is, and this time Obama's secret deal is with Australia: Nearly 2,500 refugees from terrorism hotspots around the world are bound for the U.S. after being rejected by Australia, but not even top lawmakers can get answers about who they are.

Isn't that wonderful? Once again he is going to dump undesirable aliens into our country without our knowledge or our say-so.  How does he keep getting away with this stuff?

He Carrier-ed the Day!

How impressive is it that a man who hasn't even been sworn in as President yet has already prevented Ford and Carrier from moving to Mexico, something our current President either couldn't or wouldn't do? It's a victory for the American worker and for our country, and some good news in a week in which too many people have been brazenly defying our immigration laws and showing contempt for our flag.

The Romney Problem

I saw this at Israpundit:  "Trump Will Not Appoint Romney. There simply is no good reason to appoint Romney to the most prestigious and important cabinet office. Rudy is more qualified, more courageous, and most important, loyal. He deserves to be appointed Secretary of State and will be appointed. The message from Ms. Conway is 'give Romney a living, but nothing important.'"

That last bit is from "The Godfather", when Vito says that about new son-in-law Carlo. As usual,  there's a lot of political wisdom in that film.

Why can't Romney just do the decent thing and withdraw from consideration as Secretary of State, or any other cabinet position?

If It Looks Like a Duck...

It's terrorism, yet again. We owe great thanks to the policeman who killed this extremist! At 9:52 a.m. Abdul Razak Ali Artan, an OSU student, drove a van over a curb near Watts Hall and after hitting pedestrians, and got out of the vehicle with the knife and started attacking people, said Ohio State University Police Chief Craig Stone. Nine people were injured during Artan's spree before Ohio State University Campus Police Officer Alan Horujko shot and killed Artan. Horujko happened to be nearby and ended the confrontation in less than a minute.

Recount Her Out

Talk about "bitter clingers"!  Three weeks after the election, Hillary Clinton is bitterly clinging to the hope that she, not Trump, is the real president and is joining Jill Stein's recount effort.  What an embarrassment for these sore losers! Let's hope this stunt backfires and it turns out that Hillary lost by even more votes than is currently known.

Good Riddance, Fidel!

Good riddance to a dictator who was part of our lives for decades, who threatened the United States, and who sent the dregs of Cuban society to Florida in his Mariel boat lift. And as usual with so many evil men, he unfortunately lived a very long life. Now that he's gone, Cuba can only change for the better, with President Trump's help.

Obama ♥ Iran

Everyone should be outraged by this: Obama strengthens Iran deal over GOP outcry.  "The White House and Iran have taken steps to buttress their landmark nuclear deal even as House Republican leaders urged President Obama on Tuesday to avoid actions that weaken sanctions on Iran before President-elect Donald Trump is inaugurated."  The Ayatollah is threatening us even as Obama panders and colludes -- it's almost treasonous.

What a Compliment!

He didn't mean this as a compliment, but I'll take it as one!  "Senior Hamas official Mahmoud Zahar has suggested that US President-elect Donald Trump is secretly a Jew.  In an interview with Al-Jazeera earlier this month, Zahar said that 'Trump loves the Jews, and not only because he likes the Jewish religion.'"

Argus Hamilton Quips

You can always count on Argus Hamilton for his enjoyable comments on the current news. Here's what he has to say in his latest column:  "The Broadway cast of Hamilton! lectured Mike Pence from onstage Friday about the need for the new administration to stand for diversity. It never ends. Next on Broadway is a musical about a brilliant actor's attempt to eliminate the Republican Party in its infancy. The show is called Booth!"

November 22

Tomorrow is November 22 again, when we talk about John F. Kennedy's life and terrible death.  For those of us old enough to remember, it was a traumatic day that can never be forgotten, nor can that date pass without immediately thinking of the assassination.

The other day I saw Alexandra Zapruder on TV. Of course, with that name, she is the granddaughter of Abraham Zapruder, who just happened to take the most famous home movie in history. She has written a book called "Twenty-Six Seconds",  about how that film affected her family, and her book is reviewed here by Joyce Carol Oates.

Winners and Whiners

We've seen the whiners since the election of Donald Trump, and now it's time to see a winner: Tony Romo, who showed lots of class and good sportsmanship when talking about losing his quarterback job to rookie sensation Dak Prescott. The Today show website says that "Every kid who plays sports should watch Tony Romo's speech about losing his dream job."   "It is at moments like these 'you find out who you really are,' Romo said, 'In football, you are not handed everything, you earn everything and a great example is Dak. He has earned the right to be the right to be our quarterback - as hard as it is to say, he has earned that right.'"

And Romo has definitely earned the right to be called gracious in defeat. Those protesters could learn a lot from him.

Disgraceful Anti-Trump Protest of the Day

Don't people have any decency or self-respect left?  This has simply got to stop.  If the incidents of the past week aren't enough to outrage and disgust you, this one certainly will.  The following is from Dennis Prager: "Many American Jews on the left, including rabbis and lay leaders, are embarrassing Jews and Judaism. I say this to ring an alarm in Jewish life and to tell non-Jewish America that these people represent leftism, not Judaism. Furthermore, I am talking only about leftist, not liberal, Jews. Unfortunately, however, both within and outside of Judaism, liberalism has become synonymous with leftism. This past week the embarrassing behavior of left-wing Jews reached a new level. The Israeli newspaper Haaretz reported that Jews and their clergy at various synagogues around America were gathering to 'sit shiva' — the Hebrew and Jewish term for the seven-day period of grieving that Jews engage in after the loss of an immediate relative — because Donald Trump was elected president. Consider for a moment how childish and narcissistic this is: using the sacred ritual reserved for the death of one’s child or parent as a way to express disappointment over a presidential election."

Argus Hamilton Quips - and More

You just knew that Argus Hamilton would comment on the election, so read his latest column, which includes items such as this one:  "President Obama gave a first class speech to reporters Wednesday in which he congratulated Donald Trump and vowed to do everything he can to help him be successful. The next day he met with Trump at the White House for a private lunch. It was just the two of them and their food tasters."  In his November 10 column, he says, "New York hotel magnate Donald Trump astounded his critics in the media and Hollywood and was elected president of the United States on Tuesday. There had to be silent rejoicing on the Sunset Strip in Hollywood. Donald Trump's election is the Comedian's Full Employment Act of 2016."

I loved this Howie Carr column about the immature protesters. This says it all:  "Can I have the bullhorn please?  I would like to address all of you rioting hippies, fifth-generation welfare leeches and assorted illegal immigrants who are currently looting, burning and carjacking your way across the college campuses and free-stuff districts of America."

Here's a headline I like:  Rudy Giuliani, John Bolton Are Leading Candidates for Next Secretary of State.  I'll take them, even though I'd prefer Giuliani as Attorney General and Bolton as Secretary of State or in his former role as UN Ambassador. Also, I think Kellyanne Conway should be in the administration in some role -- her selection as Trump's campaign manager made all the difference.  How about Ben Carson as HHS Secretary? How about sending Hillary Clinton to some faraway foreign country as its ambassador? And how about some capable Democrats in the cabinet to show our generosity to the losing side?

Post-Election Analysis

Lots of great post-election analysis these days! Read Ruthie Blum's column,  A Vote Against Cultural Radicalism.  In it she writes, "But the citizens who live in the real world, full of financial and other struggles — such as worrying more about keeping their kids alive than about whether they will get into Harvard — know full well that the bill of goods being sold to them by the Left does nothing but prevent them from achieving what used to be called the 'American dream.' For them, liberalism has been a nightmare from every perspective.
They are angry that their patriotism, religion, ideas about men and women, common sense about good and evil – when it comes to bullies in the schoolyard and Islamist terrorists in their neighborhoods and abroad – are under perpetual assault by people whose condescension knows no bounds.
They are irritated that they cannot watch even innocuous comedies without being fed the message that their values are skewed.
They are furious that they have recourse when the source of their livelihood suddenly disappears as a result of pressure from environmentalists pointing to junk science as an excuse to hold the rights of plants and animals in higher esteem than those of human beings.
They are outraged at being berated for teaching their kids both to strive for excellence and victory, and to accept that life involves overcoming disappointment and failure.
And they are totally fed up with having to worry that every little thing they say or do is construed as offensive or racist.
Yes, things have gone too far in the United States, and the electorate decided to pull the pendulum back in the other direction."

That's for sure!

And don't miss Shmuely Boteach's column, as well as the many good columns at Israel Hayom.

Mike Pence

Vice-President-Elect Mike Pence came back to his home state of Indiana today and made a very nice speech. It made me realize how lucky we are that Trump made the VP choice he did.  What if he had made a frivolous selection like Scott Brown, thinking it wouldn't really matter, since he wasn't going to be elected anyway?

Sore Losers

Did you see those anti-Trump protesters in the streets of mostly liberal cities? They can't bear the fact that Donald Trump won the election fair and square, so they are behaving like spoiled brats.

They probably hope that if they march and whine long enough, he will resign and have Hillary take over. In their dreams! He won, you lost. Deal with it.

President Donald J. Trump: Vindication and Repudiation

What a great victory by Donald Trump! Talk about historic -- this is only the second time in my lifetime that a non-politician has wrested the Presidency away from a career politician (the first time being Eisenhower). And not only did he win, he beat out the powerful Clinton-Obama machine! I would hope that pundits and politicians will be apologizing for the error of their ways. Congratulations to the Trump family, and to us Republicans who made this day possible.

Here are some newspaper front pages -- not all of them flattering!

Good Luck, Donald Trump!

For a non-politician,  Donald Trump has surpassed all expectations. He deserves a lot of credit for his energy, for his refusal to bow to political correctness, and for a close race that nobody could ever have imagined. And he deserves credit for going up against the powerful Clinton machine. For that reason alone, he deserves the thanks of a very weary Republican party.

Desperation Time

When I heard about, and saw the surreal footage of, Trump being rushed off the stage in NV by the Secret Service, I thought of the headlines the liberal media might use:  "Trump Angers Protesters"; "Protesters Attacked by Trump Supporters"; or "Violence Again at Trump Rally".  I hate to see what the next 3 days will bring.

Finishing the Job

At a rally in Fayetteville, Obama "tailored his speech to young voters and reminded them about Clinton’s policies on free tuition and affordable health care. He said she could build on the progress he made as president.  'I need you to vote. America needs you to vote because we’ve got to finish what we started eight years ago,' he said."

Eight years ago, Obama and the Democrats started to dismantle this country. If you want them to finish ruining it, go vote for the Clintons.

Here's a column titled I’m A Woman, I’m Voting For Trump, And It Wasn’t Even A Close Call, which focuses on Obamacare.  If you want the Clintons to finish destroying what's left of our health care system, by all means vote for them. If you want everything for free, if you want to take no personal responsibility, if you want to be paid not to work, if you want the U.S. to continue to be weak rather than strong, just pull that Democrat lever on Tuesday, and then shut up.

Some Other Preposterous News

Sleazygate is dominating the news, but there have been a few other stories that have captured my attention in the past few days.

American Thinker mentions the ridiculous, desperate New York Times article that claimed that Muslim children are having nightmares about ... Donald Trump!

And John Kerry is fawning over his boss Obama in the most nauseating way: 'President Obama is going to go down in history as one of America's significant and most accomplished chief executives,' Kerry said in a speech at the Chicago Council on Global Affairs. 'And, lucky guy, he's only in his 50s, he's got a lot more to contribute to the country,' Kerry said. 'So we're all lucky.'"

Oh yes, we're all extremely lucky.

Sleazygate

Why is anyone surprised at the revelations that came out today, that the FBI is re-opening the investigations into Hillary's e-mails, and that (as even the New York Times is reporting), New Emails in Clinton Case Came From Anthony Weiner’s Computer?  After all, it's the Clintons -- this is what they do and what they've always done. Scandal always surrounds them, and I am willing to bet that somehow they will all get away with this latest disgrace as well.  Trump is smart to say as little as possible with only 2 weeks left. Meanwhile, Obama is curiously silent, and they're not blaming the Russians now.

Yet in a way, I have a feeling that today's news may just be a red herring to distract from something bigger.

The Curse of the Open Office

Anyone who works in a noisy open office will appreciate, and identify with, this perfect and amusing column titled "What's More Distracting Than A Noisy Co-Worker? Turns Out, Not Much."  I particularly liked this part:

"Denver electrical engineer Kendra Lyons sits a few cubicles down from an unfiltered loud talker whose phone conversations include details about her gynecology and family disputes.
'It would throw me off, and then I would find it really hard to tune out and not listen to her for the rest of the conversation, so I would end up eavesdropping rather than doing my work,' Lyons says.
Now, she says she drowns it out with headphones blasting electronica or the Hamilton soundtrack — anything with a strong beat."

I've got to get those headphones!

Nuts To You!

Peggy Noonan referred to Trump as a nut. In his column "Who's the real nut here?", Ben Stein writes the following:

"Is Trump more of a nut than a woman candidate who purposely destroyed 32,000 e-mails under federal subpoena? Is he anywhere near as much of a nut as Mrs. Clinton, who had her staff smash her computer and her cell phones with hammers and throw them in a river to keep the FBI from seeing what she said and received, also federal crimes?
Is Trump any more of a nut than a woman who wants abortion at any stage to be legal, and leads cheers for the killing of the most innocent among us by people with homicide in their hearts? Is Trump more of a nut than a woman who bullied and threatened the women who were molested and sometimes more than molested by Bill Clinton? Is Trump more of a nut than a woman who says the incredibly brave men and women of law enforcement are 'systemically racist'? Is she more or less nutty because she will not use the words 'Islamic terrorism'? Is she more or less nutty than Trump because she violated her own State Department rules about communicating confidential matters to people outside the security loop?"

That sums it up pretty well, I think.  And if you vote for her anyway, you're the one who's the nut.

Blame-Bush Nostalgia

In case you've been missing the Bush-blaming, this column by Keith Koffler describes the times Obama has whined over these past eight long years and blamed Bush for something or other.

If the Clintons become President, will they continue to blame Bush, or will they actually blame Obama?

Election Stress Disorder

Suffering from election-related stress?  So am I.  I feel the same way now about Hillary Clinton as I felt in 2008  before Obama was unfortunately elected.  My solution is shutting off the 24-hour cable news networks and avoiding Facebook. Reading a good book without all that talk, hype, and propaganda overwhelming you is a good calming remedy that I recommend.

Maury Povich vs. Jerry Springer

It sounds like Bimbo Eruptions Part 2:  "Two Women Claim Donald Trump Groped Them: 'He Was Like an Octopus'" -- 30 years ago, mind you. I like how these people always come out of the woodwork when it's most convenient.

And get this: "The Obama administration has blamed Russia for the email hacks that have created a chronic headache for Hillary Clinton, the latest batch of which, from campaign Chairman John Podesta's account, was disclosed Wednesday by Wikileaks. The Russian response? Show us the proof. 'It’s flattering,' Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov told CNN’s Christiane Amanpour."   What I'd love to eventually learn is that the actual hackers are people who work in the Obama administration -- but I doubt the media would report such a thing.

All I know is that our enemies -- and what's left of our friends -- must be having a good laugh over all this.

Obama and Israel

From the Algemeiner, some news that shouldn't surprise us one bit: "With its eyes on the potential launch of an Israeli-Palestinian peace initiative after next month’s presidential election, the Obama administration is 'manufacturing a crisis' over settlement construction, to exert diplomatic pressure on the Jewish state, The Weekly Standard reported on Sunday, citing sources in Congress and the American Jewish community...One congressional source told The Weekly Standard that the administration had been “waiting for an opening” to hit hard against Israel, and an official with an American-Jewish organization was quoted as saying the administration 'wants to be able to say the Israelis forced them to act.'"

Clintons v. Trump

I agree: Using Trump’s 12 Year Old Tape Shows The Contempt Hillary And Her Media Have For Us. Is this the "October Surprise", or is it simply another example of the dirty tricks the Clintons have always engaged in?

If what Trump said is now the main reason why you should vote for Hillary, then we're in even worse shape in this country than I thought.

Today's Interesting Reads

Peggy Ryan says that politics has ruined everything fun, and if you read her column, you'll agree!

Read Argus Hamilton's latest column of news zingers, including this item: "The U.S. broke off Syrian peace talks with Russia after Russia helped Syria's army advance on the Free Syrian Army in Aleppo. Syria's government is Russia's ally and the Free Syrian Army is a U.S. ally, and both sides are battling ISIS and each other. Syria isn't a theater of war, it's a multiplex."

Here's a column by Kathleen Parker for those of us who are sticklers when it comes to grammar and punctuation.

They're At It Again!

It's hard to believe that the Obama administration is still convinced that climate change is the biggest threat to our country:  "Climate change poses significant national security challenges for the United States and will create large-scale political instability, social disruption and food shortages, according to the nation’s intelligence agency."

I'm sure this delusion will continue if Hillary is elected -- heaven forbid!

Don't Bank on Getting Any Answers

How can we trust our government to do anything about John Stumpf and the phony Wells Fargo accounts when they still can't even do anything about Hillary Clinton and the e-mail scandal?

Ridiculousness in the News

These almost weekly stories about ridiculous political correctness in our society, as well as those about the latest liberal fads, make me cringe.  Doesn't our Navy have more important things to do than study "gender neutrality" and worry about the word "man" in job titles like "yeoman"?

And don't colleges have more important things to do, like educating students so they can function in the real world, than talking about letting students "decide their own pronouns"? "The change comes as more college students are identifying with identities that are more fluid, experts say." I don't even know how you come up with such ridiculous ideas in the first place. What does this even mean? I'm sure all this will really help these students when they apply for jobs and go on interviews.

Co-Presidents

This article shows why we're not better off now than we were eight years ago, and why we can't afford the continuation of Obama's presidency through Hillary Clinton.  Remember when she spoke of being a "co-president" with her husband? Now the co-presidents would be Hillary and Obama, a concept too awful to imagine.

James Comey & The F.B."Oy".

The daily scandals involving Hillary Clinton and the e-mails are bad enough, but James Comey keeps making the FBI look more inept and complicit. Read Paul Sperry's column, which says, "In other words, the fix was in. Either that, or Comey led one of the shoddiest probes in FBI history. God help us if that’s the way he’s investigating the 1,000-plus ISIS terrorist cases now open in all 50 states."

And here's a comforting statement from Comey; he's warning of a "terrorist diaspora like we´ve never seen before." Yes, ISIS is definitely on the run!

Don't Dare Call it Terrorism!

You have a counterterrorism squad on the scene of an explosion in the Chelsea section of NewYork that injured many people tonight; and you had a pipe bomb explode in New Jersey this morning, and it's only a few days after September 11.  Yet some members of the TV media, so quick to call white cops murderers, are employing language gymnastics to try to explain this explosion as anything other than a terrorist or criminal act. One even went so far as to say that the Chelsea explosion may have merely been a case of spontaneous combustion!

And don't miss Howie Carr's checklist that lets you know if you're really deplorable or not! Here are just a few items:

"If you’re deployable, you’re definitely deplorable.
If you wake before noon, if you call Islamic terrorists Islamic terrorists, if you don’t have an Obamaphone and you don’t believe that global warming is 'settled science' — can you say deplorable?
If you liked your doctor and wanted to keep your doctor, if you wear pants rather than pajamas when you leave the house, if you were passed over for the job even though you got a 95 on the civil-service test — you know what you are.
You may be a deplorable if you don’t think you should have to press one for English."

'A' You're Adorable, 'D' You're Deplorable!

Ben Stein said this about Hillary Clinton:  "She’s in full Evita Peron mode now.

Hillary Clinton talks about half of the supporters of Donald Trump — they’re 'racists… xenophobic… Islamophobic… homophobic… a basketful of deplorables.'  Synonyms for 'deplorable' on Wiki and in many print dictionaries:

'Disgraceful, shameful, dishonorable, inexcusable, unpardonable, deserving one’s loathing, wretched…'

So, Mrs. Hillary Rodham Clinton, who made up a series of lies in the commodities markets and walked away with what was more likely a bribe of a hundred thousand bucks when she was in her school girl days is calling the people who want the government to enforce the laws wretched."

This reminds me of when Obama disparaged Pennsylvania voters as bitterly clinging to guns and religion.  They are two peas in a pod, and I loathe them equally.

We Remember September 11, 2001

And none of us have forgotten.

See other front pages from September 12, 2001, at this Newseum web page.

Daniel Greenfield: Why We Will Defeat Islam

Read Daniel Greenfield's speech "Why We Will Defeat Islam", as seen at American Digest, which includes the following:  "When you see the denial all around you, this is the important thing to remember. No lie, no spin and no scam can beat reality. Reality will always win. Reality is going to win.

Everything we’ve gone through since September 11 and even before that has been the reality distortion field, the one that says there’s no such thing as Islamic terrorism, colliding with reality.

If there are days when you get up and think that it’s hopeless, that people will never know the truth and that we’ll be going through the same motions, twenty years from now, don’t.

Every lie that has been told, every media story lying about Islamic terrorism, lying about Hamas and Iran, every piece of propaganda used to support the narrative, is the little Dutch boy with his finger holding back the flood.

But the flood is coming. In fact it’s already here."

Thoughts of September 11

Here's a Star Spangled Banner for you! Remember this whenever you see those protesting idiot athletes and celebrities making disrespectful fools of themselves.

The Baltimore Sun's headline for their beautiful editorial is The enduring loss of September 11, and we can all relate to these words:  "... a small thing in a quiet moment — a cloudless blue September sky, a glimpse of the Twin Towers in an old movie — can still bring back the flood of fear, sadness and uncertainty that we have never resolved, perhaps can never resolve.
So profoundly visceral are those memories, even at the remove of a decade and a half, that it is hard for many of us to comprehend the enduring pain of those who lost family members in the attacks. Sept. 11 was a national tragedy, but for the relatives of the nearly 3,000 people who were killed that day, it is a profoundly personal one. We lost an innocence, a sense of security. They lost mothers, fathers, husbands, wives, brothers, sisters, sons and daughters."

It always infuriates me when I hear people say that we talk about September 11 too much. If you ask me, we don't talk about it enough.

It's the end of another week of Obama and Clinton lies, cover-ups, and scandals, so that means it's time to read the latest posts at Betsy's Page, Larwyn's Linx, and Maggie's Farm!

Bonus: when all else fails, Democrats always play the race card, and this instance is not only a particularly ridiculous example of political correctness, but also an example of a former president demeaning himself:   "Bill Clinton vowed to ‘make America great again’ in 1992, now says slogan is racist."  If he had said the slogan was plagiarism, he wouldn't have looked nearly as silly.

September 11 at The Pentagon

Last night I saw the powerful documentary "9/11 Inside the Pentagon", which is also referred to with some justification as the forgotten 9/11.

The joy the people at the Pentagon felt, when they realized that the jet they thought was coming to attack them a second time was actually an American fighter jet, was very moving.

Make sure you watch this program to remind yourself that the horror of that day was not only confined to New York.

Keep Calm and Kerry On

That genius John Kerry is at it again.  The man who said global warming is as big a threat as terrorism now wants the media to stop covering terrorism so much so that "people wouldn't know what's going on." Maybe he'll get the Nobel Peace Prize for that brilliant suggestion.

Thanks to the fawning, compliant Obama media, the people already haven't known what's been going on these past eight years!

Here's the whining babies story of the day. I'd like to know how these spoiled brats are ever going to deal with the stress of everyday life, handling a job, or coping with real trauma if this sort of nonsense is constantly encouraged:  "A University of Iowa professor is asking the athletics department to make the university’s mascot, Herky the Hawk, display friendlier facial expressions, arguing that his angry grimace is traumatizing students."

The Economy is Booming!

I love the caption contest over at Zero Hedge, but even more than that, I like what it says about the latest Obama administration lies on the economy:  "And, just this morning, White House propagandist Earnest exclaimed "Obama's economic optimism is widely shared." The problem is... that's total bullshit...The professionals don't believe it."

Doesn't this remind you about the economic news right before the 2012 election

(By the way, my own caption for this ridiculous photograph is, "Blind to the truth.")

Stop That Leak

Julian Assange claims to have some bombshell leaks in the works about Hillary Clinton and the Democrats. “I think it's significant,” he said. “You know, it depends on how it catches fire in the public and in the media.” Do you honestly think the media will report anything damaging to the Clintons before the election?  And do you think a public obsessed with Pokemon will even care at all? Here's a rare instance of wanting to see more of a commercial!  This Dish Network commercial brought back memories of a song that was one of my favorites as a kid:  "Nobody But Me" by The Human Beinz.  The catchy tune and beat, and the names of all the old dances ("Nobody can do the (Shing-a-ling) like I do/Nobody can do the (Skate) like I do/Nobody can do (Boogaloo) like I do/Nobody can do (Philly) like I do") made me want to listen to it again.

In his latest column, Greg Crosby says what I have always said: bring back shame.  He writes, "Think about this. If people who engaged in lying, cheating, stealing, freeloading, not taking care of their family, and not pulling their own weight in society were made to feel ASHAMED of themselves instead of feeling like victims, maybe more people would want do the right things. Maybe we would even find our American character again. It's worth a try."

Milwaukee Mayhem

Here we go yet again. The FBI or the police ought to visit major U.S. cities and give lessons on how to behave properly when stopped by cops; and how to act like civilized human beings instead of looting, rioting, and burning down buildings.  That sort of behavior should be condemned, not condoned. Also, they ought to show episodes of  "Cops" so people can see what the police are faced with every single day.

A-Rid

David Moulton echoes my own feelings about Alex Rodriguez:  "Would you honor a guy who you paid 350 million dollars to over 13 years under a largely false premise (that he was clean)? Would you allow a guy to hang around for one extra hour, who just three years ago sued you and your team doctor, only after trashing you and your organization for weeks in the press? Oh yeah, and everything he said and did was a complete lie.
"I thought the water in Brazil was sketchy but what are they drinking in the Bronx? Hank Steinbrenner says it is possible one day that A-Rod may be honored with a plaque in Monument Park. What? Alex Rodriguez's time with the Yankees has more resembled a plague than is worthy of a plaque."
