Climate Change Change

I liked this comment at Maggie's Farm:  "Merkel Furious With Trump After "Unprecedented" G-7 Failure To Reach Consensus On Climate Change. It's about time somebody, like the US, calls "bullshit" on the climate scam."

Tiger Woods: The Emperor Has No Clothes

And the media has no shame: ESPN Photoshopped his messy hair to make him look less drunk and frazzled.

Looks like the myth has finally been exposed for good this time.

Traitors & Leakers

In a conversation with Frank Pentangeli, Michael Corleone said, "Then I'll be able to find out who the traitor in my family was."  Trump has to quickly find out who the traitor in his family is, before it causes even more harm and embarrassment to our country. He ought to bring in someone like Rudi Giuliani, who besides being America's Mayor on September 11, successfully went after the Mafia using the RICO Act. He ruthlessly crushed them, and we need someone to ruthlessly crush these leakers and make an example of them.

Why Work? (Part 1000)

"Free Money: Mark Zuckerberg Says All Americans Should Get  A Universal Basic Income." We have that already -- it's called welfare. Why not take away all incentives to work while you're at it?

Suite Music

This is the Rondeau from Henry Purcell's Abdelazer Suite, or more familiarly, the tune from Britten's Young Person's Guide to the Orchestra!

"Righteous Anger"

Make sure you read Kurt Schlichter's column "Fewer Tears, Fewer Lies, And More Righteous Anger." Apparently, politically correct thinking dictates that our showing any anger whenever there's a fatal terrorist attack is wrong, and that we're simply supposed to accept it. Imagine our country ho-humming the Pearl Harbor attacks as "the new normal".

Melissa Mackenzie lists The Stages of Politically Correct Grief, which you will recognize as all too familiar.

Scott McKay remarks, "I am not Islamophobic. I am Islamofedup."  Likewise!

Islamic Slaughterphobia

This news item is exactly why we cannot reason with terrorists, why the politically correct approach doesn't work, and why these Arab terrorists will continue to kill us with impunity. "Now that Salman Abedi has been named as the suicide bomber who blew up dozens of children in Manchester, today was the time for the elders of his mosque in Didsbury to speak. They were resolute and clearly angry, but as the press statement was read, it became depressingly clear what they were angry about: Islamophobia and the media." Of course! Did you expect any other reaction even when children are the targets?

You sick, sick people.  It's not "Islamophobia", it's Islamic Slaughterphobia -- we live in fear of being stabbed, beheaded, and blown up by you!

I hope next time it's your children who are butchered. Who will you blame then?

Out, Evil Savages!

If they haven't done so already, England ought to send SWAT teams into those Muslim enclaves known as "no-go zones", and arrest terrorists and terrorist sympathizers while confiscating weapons.
How many more people will have to die before people wake up? Robert Spencer suggests that  Prime Minister May should apologize, and resign.  Elections are coming up. Do the British people really want to elect appeasers, or would they prefer those who will protect their country from ISIS and Al Qaeda?

And if you're not too busy watching the latest news about Trump, Russia, and Comey,  you should read about the victims of last night's horror.

Terrorism Against Teens

On TV they are calling the Manchester bombings an "incident".  19 dead is not an incident, it's murder. Where's the outrage against terrorists who would deliberately target a concert populated mostly by teenaged girls? And what will the target be next time, a daycare center?

This would be a perfect opportunity for Trump, the Israelis, and the Arabs to make a statement strongly condemning this latest terror attack and pledging to destroy these people.

Pictures at an Exhibition

In talking about Trump's speech in Riyadh tomorrow,  TV news anchors are wondering whether or not he will use the phrase "radical Islamic terrorism" right in front of the Arabs.  I have a solution to that dilemma.

While the President in speaking, there ought to be a screen behind him showing pictures like this:
Jet flown by Saudis on Sept.11

Jordanian pilot being burned to death by ISIS
Egyptian Christians about to be beheaded by ISIS
In this case, pictures can speak louder than words.

Here's the latest enjoyable and informative roundup of news and culture from Betsy's Page, Maggie's Farm, and Larwyn's Linx.

"The Height of Groveling"

It seems that Hebrew University won't play the Israeli National Anthem Hatikvah to avoid "offending" Arabs! Here's Netanyahu's response: "Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu followed Bennett in blasting the incident, saying that 'the decision by the Faculty of Humanities at the Hebrew University is shameful. It’s the height of groveling, the opposite of national pride. We are proud of our country, our flag and our anthem. This only strengthens my resolve to pass the nation-state law in order to anchor in law our national symbols that are so dear to us.'"

That's political correctness for you: the height of groveling, even to the point of denying your own customs.

Stop it already!

Mute Button

Someone should invent a remote control for the TV that has exactly one button on it: the mute button.  I need such an invention desperately, not only to silence the nightly cable news, but also to tune out the continuous commercials for bowel trouble, mesothelioma, E.D., terminal illness, and lawyers. Must I really be forced to endure endless talk of diarrhea while I'm eating breakfast?  Based on the onslaught of ads, this must be the sickest generation, and I'm getting nauseous just thinking about it.

Down on Maggie's Farm

There's an awful lot of good material at Maggie's Farm today! The Tuesday Morning Links contain this post titled The Millennial's Guide to Office Etiquette. Here's the original article by William Hanson in the Daily Mail. If you're an older person working in an open office with people in their 20s & 30s, you know exactly what Mr. Hanson is talking about!

Also, read about the Trump media feeding frenzy and remember that while the TV news talks about Russia and Comey non-stop, Bin Laden's son is threatening to kill us.

Republican Self-Destruction, Again!

Try not watching less TV news than usual. When you return to it, it's as if you've missed a whole month.  When I saw a bit of the news tonight, I felt like Chris Wallace, regarding Trump
“Every step he’s taken this week has cut into the credibility of this White House, the trust of the people inside the White House, and clearly I think the trust that the American people pay to this President and to his White House staff.”  He added: “I’ve never seen anything like it and I find it very troubling and troubled. I just don’t understand the game that they’re playing. ‘Cause it isn’t a game.”

Why aren't Trump's advisors steering him in the right direction? Why are Republicans, yet again, blowing the best opportunity they've had?

Lots 'o Links - Comeygate Edition

Read all about it at Betsy's Page, Maggie's Farm, and Larwyn's Linx.

And, via Larwyn's Linx, read the best comment on the firing of James Comey, per Razor on Twitter: "Trump would've gotten less "cover-up!" coverage if he instead deleted subpoenaed docs, used BleachBit, then destroyed phones with a hammer."

Argus Hamilton Quips

In his latest column, Argus Hamilton comments on stories in the news. I particularly got a kick out of this one:  "United Airlines published a mission statement dedicating themselves to improving their service to passengers. Many people blame rude service on the airline mergers. United should merge with Malaysian Airlines and that way they can beat up their passengers and nobody will ever know about it."
