Nazis Then, Nazis Now

A chilling Nazi telegram written in 1943 could have been written today. "On Wednesday, the NLI published a telegram from leading Nazi commander Heinrich Himmler to Jerusalem’s Mufti Haj Amin al-Husseini, sending 'best wishes in your continued battle' against the 'Jewish invaders' until 'the great victory.'"

Israeli Ruthie Blum also saw the connection and mentioned it in her very touching column about her daughter titled "Himmler and Al-Husseini: Telegraphic Reminders of Reality":  "In other words, my daughter did not have to travel to Europe for a tour of Hitler’s gas chambers to be ‎exposed to a purposeful and concerted effort to wipe her and her classmates off the face of the ‎earth."‎

Mozart: It's For The Birds

How can you resist a story with a headline like this? "This Cockatiel Sings Mozart's Queen of the Night Aria Better than You."

Unlawful "Lawmaker"

Oh, this is just great:  "Federal immigration officials are blasting a Brockton lawmaker for inciting “panic” after she took to Facebook to warn illegal immigrants about a rumored ICE sweep — a brazen move one fellow lawmaker said could put 'lives in danger.'"

If that isn't aiding and abetting, I don't know what is. She should be forced out of office and replaced by someone whose priority will actually be to enforce the law and protect American citizens.

(If these liberal mayors and other legislators won't do their job, maybe they ought to go to Mexico and other countries and help people there so they won't come here!)

Reading, Writing, & Ridiculousness

Here's the important information some students are learning to prepare them for a job after graduation: "Missouri State University sponsored an hour-long event last week dedicated to the various ways fringe feminist activists can misspell the word 'woman.'" Read the entire article if you want a good laugh.

Hooray for Nikki Haley!

"Nikki Haley received a hero's welcome at the American Israel Public Affairs Committee on Monday as she reminded the pro-Israel lobbying group of her early successes as U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, and promised to continue with a sharp break from the Obama administration.

'For anyone who says you can't get anything done at the U.N., they need to know there is a new sheriff in town," Haley said during an appearance at AIPAC's annual conference in Washington, D.C.'"

Interesting Comments On The News

At AIPAC Conference, Alan Dershowitz Helps Unveil Israeli Water-Making Machine; Says ‘You Can’t Boycott Products You Cannot Live Without’.

Bruce Bawer: "After last Wednesday's deadly attack outside London's Houses of Parliament, the left-wing British media expressed outrage – not at the appalling way in which Islam and Islamic terrorism have transformed life and sown death throughout the Western world, but at the purported moral depravity of those who dare to connect the dots. .. Maintaining that Islam's critics 'hate the very idea of cosmopolitan communities' (no, they hate barbarism), Hundal called on Londoners to learn from the spirit of the Battle of Britain: 'Keep Calm and Carry on'.  But there's a big difference between now and then. During World War II, Brits named their enemy. Everyone openly recognized Nazism as a monstrous ideology. And the media didn't respond to German bombings in the East End by slandering Churchill as a 'Naziphobe.'

Those Oldies But Goodies Remind Me of The Work Ethic

Every time I see healthy young men begging on the highway, I think of people like Loraine Maurer: Evansville woman, 94, still going strong 44 years into McDonald's job.  Congratulations to her! On many resumes, you can see that many people can't even last 4 months in a job!

The Conquering Hero

Here's some great music by Handel about Judah Maccabee: "See, the Conqu'ring Hero Comes." We could do with some heroes right now, to conquer Islamic terrorists and the Democrats!

Mowed Down, Shot, and Stabbed

What happened at Parliament today sounds like it's from the ISIS/Al Qaeda playbook.  I'm sure we'll be told not to jump to conclusions.  Meanwhile, we have a lax Secret Service, and we have had intruders at the White House. We had better get more professional security here before people are mowed down, shot & stabbed at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue!

The Holocaust: Was THAT 'Jewish Privilege', Too?

These are envious, jealous, spiteful, evil and moronic psychopaths who should get out of our colleges and get out of our country.

Was it "Jewish privilege" that got 6 million of us exterminated by the Nazis?

Boy, the bloggers have more fodder than usual to work with these days, thanks to both the Democrats and the Republicans acting like fools!  Who need the Dems attacking the GOP when you have John McCain accusing Rand Paul of working for Putin!

Hazardous to Republicans' Health

At The American Spectator, David Hogberg writes about The Con Job That Is the ‘American Health Care Act’. Better to have no health care act at all than one that's the same as, or worse than, Obamacare!

The Republicans had better get their own act together before they once again disintegrate while the Democrats somehow come back from the ashes.  We can't allow this to happen.

Purim 2017

What a wonderful writer Daniel Greenfield is! At Sultan Knish, you can read his account of Purim, along with some clever observations regarding Jews vs. liberal Jews: "If Purim had culminated with some smart power diplomacy and a lesson on tolerance, liberal Jews might be more inclined to celebrate it. Unfortunately it ends with a genocidal madman being hung from a tree and the Jews fighting for their lives, winning and slaughtering their enemies.
And instead of feeling guilty about it, their descendants eat pastries, dress up in costumes and get drunk. At least those of their descendants who believe in survival instead of surrender."

A New Low for ISIS

I haven't heard too much about this latest episode of evil, but what can you expect from terrorists who behead and burn alive innocent civilians? "ISIS gunmen dressed as doctors kill at least 30 at Afghan hospital". It sounds to me as if the "JV team" is getting even bolder.

RepubliCare

Uh-oh!  "A curious thing has happened to the Republican replacement plan as it has evolved through multiple drafts: it has begun to look more and more like ObamaCare itself."

Meanwhile, in a perfect example of chutzpah, "House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi is telling Speaker Paul Ryan  that lawmakers 'must not be asked to vote' on new GOP health care  legislation without details   on cost and how many people would be covered."  Isn't this the same Nancy Pelosi who said about Obamacare, “But we have to pass the [health care] bill so that you can find out what’s in it....” ?

I still resent the fact that our health care was destroyed just so the "40 million uninsured" could be covered, and I sure don't want to go through that nightmare again with the Republicans.

Argus Hamilton Quips

The humorist does it again in a new column that includes news items such as this one:  "Barbra Streisand blamed her weight gain on all the pancakes she eats to salve her anger while watching the morning news. The Democrats are splitting apart. BLM activists were just arrested for plotting to blow up Jewish centers, now Streisand launches an unprovoked attack on Aunt Jemima."

Making The Work Ethic Cool

I saw Mike Rowe on TV last week trying to make people enthusiastic about working for a living: "If you want to make America great again, you've got to make work cool again". Isn't it a shame that you even have to say such a commonsense thing today, when working used to be something everyone (especially men) did automatically? It was either work or starve. Now it's work or stay home and collect welfare. What a sad state of affairs when you have to shame people into it.  How about making work necessary, and making work your duty?  Let's make the work ethic cool again!

Look at the exciting news on the jobs front today: "Exxon said it has embarked on a $20 billion plan to build or update manufacturing and refining facilities on the Gulf Coast, something the company predicts will create 45,000 new jobs." That sounds mighty cool to me.

Snug As A Bug In A Rug...In Trump Tower?

Tonight when I heard about Trump's accusations of having been wiretapped by the Obama Administration, and then I heard Obama's response that they'd never wiretapped anyone, I immediately remembered that James Rosen and Kirsten Powers had been wiretapped by them. I went online to check it out to make sure I wasn't dreaming it, and sure enough, this was at The Blaze:
"In fact, it's widely known that Obama's Justice Department targeted journalists with wiretaps in 2013, most famous Fox News' James Rosen and his family."

Oh well! Even if it's proven that what Trump has said is true,  Obama will get away with it...again.

"Hebrew Liberation Week"

I don't care for the name, but I do love the idea: "A pro-Israel student group at Columbia University is launching 'Hebrew Liberation Week' to counter the upcoming annual 'Israeli Apartheid Week' by celebrating the connection between the Jews and Israel, the Algemeiner reported."  They could subtitle it "The Chosen People Week" or "Pro-Semitism Week"!

Moronic Motive of the Day

Now I've seen everything: Disgraced journalist threatened Jewish centers to get back at ex, FBI sayWell, that makes perfect sense!

What one thing has to do with the other, I have no idea, but just the fact that he chose Jewish centers rather than churches or mosques proves this evil creep is an antisemite.  I wonder what his defense will be!

Get ready to read about this week's news and gossip at Maggie's Farm, Larwyn's Linx, and Betsy's Page!

I don't think the Democrats and the media will be satisfied until they prove that Russia stole the election from Hillary Clinton. Even if Jeff Sessions ends up resigning, there will be no end to this, and, sadly, the sense of optimism we all got from Trump's marvelous speech will go right down the drain.

Democratic (Lack of) Response

I love the hilarious comments about the awful rebuttal given by Steve Beshear. The Daily Caller has him separated at birth with the Heaven's Gate cult leader:

while The Conservative Treehouse places him in ads for catheters and Colonial Penn:

Boy, the Dems are in worse shape than we thought!

Here's today's best response: Stockmarkets roar to records after Trump speech.
