A chilling Nazi telegram written in 1943 could have been written today. "On Wednesday, the NLI published a telegram from leading Nazi commander Heinrich Himmler to Jerusalem’s Mufti Haj Amin al-Husseini, sending 'best wishes in your continued battle' against the 'Jewish invaders' until 'the great victory.'"
Israeli Ruthie Blum also saw the connection and mentioned it in her very touching column about her daughter titled "Himmler and Al-Husseini: Telegraphic Reminders of Reality": "In other words, my daughter did not have to travel to Europe for a tour of Hitler’s gas chambers to be exposed to a purposeful and concerted effort to wipe her and her classmates off the face of the earth."
