Unfortunately, he's still alive. From the New York Post: "The driver who plowed into a group of people on Tuesday, killing 8, left behind handwritten notes pledging loyalty to ISIS along with an image of an ISIS flag inside his vehicle. Sayfullo Saipov, 29, had the notes written in Arabic inside his Home Depot rental truck along with either a flag of the ISIS symbol or a smaller picture of flag, according to law enforcement sources."
The TV reports were like a rerun of commentary for previous radical Islamic terrorist attacks since September 11. Over and over the experts say, "If you see something, say something", and yet, people are so brainwashed by political correctness that they not only say nothing, but they still see the Muslims as the victims! Too bad the cop didn't kill this filthy savage. Now we have to deal with a trial, a probable insanity defense, the usual psychoanalysis of his childhood, and charges of "Islamophobia." Now Trump looks more perceptive than ever with his extreme vetting!

Anti-History Insanity
Enough with this removal of plaques and statues! Why aren't more people protesting decisions like this instead of meekly caving in to political correctness?
"An historic Episcopal parish where George Washington frequently worshiped has decided to remove a memorial plaque honoring the nation’s first president, saying the decision was out of a desire to provide a 'welcoming' worship space for all visitors. The church will also remove a similar memorial plague honoring Robert E. Lee, the commander of Confederate Army of Northern Virginia."
What are they so frightened of? How is a church with a historic plaque suddenly not welcoming after all these years?
What next, razing the Washington Monument and changing the name of Washington and Lee University?!
(By the way, Jefferson Davis School is being renamed after Obama. Can we protest that??)

Infantile Paralysis
Infantile: "Progressives have taken their Trump derangement syndrome to a whole new level...
Thousands of anguished libs in Boston and Philadelphia will be taking part in scream fests on Nov. 8 to commemorate the anniversary of Donald Trump's election. Liberals in other cities around the country are likely to step up to the crazy plate as well as the big day draws near. Over 4,000 Facebook users in the Boston area have RSVP'd to attend the event they're calling 'Scream helplessly at the sky on the anniversary of the election.' Another 33,000 have expressed interest in attending the event at the 383-year-old Boston Common."
Paralysis: Hillary Clinton's well-deserved defeat has paralyzed the Democrats and has turned these entitled whiners into helpless babies. If this is what an election can do to them, imagine what a real-life, personal crisis can do. They simply can't -- or won't -- cope.

General Kelly's remarks today were extremely eloquent and moving, and if there were still such a concept as shame in this country, the liberals and the media would have immediately felt ashamed of themselves.

Stop Calling It "Distracted Driving"!
Stop downplaying the danger of reckless driving, which according to this article, has caused a jump in traffic fatalities.
Have you noticed the increase in the number of vans, huge pickups, and SUVs? Have you seen them deliberately turning right in front of
oncoming traffic, with hardly any room to spare? Notice how they speed
through crowded parking lots where just getting in and out of your parking space is a real challenge. It’s not only that these people
are sending text messages and playing games, but they also are using these
giant vehicles in an extremely dangerous manner. Unfortunately, you rarely see police cars on the roads any more. As one whose car has been smashed in by a reckless hit & run driver, I find the "distracted driving" terminology much too gentle for what's really going on every day.

What is Wrong With These People?
I am sick of reading news like this: Holocaust Memorial Vandalized in Uruguay. "Vandals used black paint to write slurs including 'The Holocaust of the Jewish people is the biggest lie in history,' 'Only 300,000 Jews died from typhus' and 'Gas chambers were a fraud.'"
There are only 12,000 Jews in Uruguay, but evidently some people wish there were no Jews.
Why isn't there a Jewish Lives Matter organization?

Argus Hamilton Quips
Here's a comment from the topical humorist: "NFL
Commissioner Roger Goodell announced that NFL players
should stand for the National Anthem. The whole rebellion is backfiring. L.A.
cop cars just replaced their sirens with the National Anthem, so that when
fleeing suspects hear it, they'll drop to one knee and be easier to catch."
By the way, the 2018 Winter Olympics is approaching, and it would be a disgrace if our athletes refuse to respect our flag at the medals podium.

Yankees or Bust
I really liked this Liel Leibovitz column at Tablet magazine: Rooting for the Yankees May Be Good for Your Soul. No, Really.
He writes, "I used to loathe the Bronx Bombers, until a religious epiphany taught me something about baseball, politics, and the perils of tribalism.
The most instructive piece of political reporting you can read this week isn’t about Donald Trump, or North Korea, or gun control, or health care, or any of the other specters haunting our headlines these days. Instead, it’s about Aaron Judge, Didi Gregorius, Gary Sánchez, et al., which, in case you’re the sort of newspaper reader who never quite makes it all the way to the sports pages, are the men of the New York Yankees.
In a beautiful piece this weekend in The Wall Street Journal, James Traub, a longtime fan, shared a useful observation about tribalism, loyalty, and what to do when observable reality refuses to conform with your prejudices."
Unfortunately, I was unable to access the Traub piece but hope it will soon be available to non-Wall Street Journal subscribers. But I've been rooting for the Yankees since the emotional 2001 World Series, and this year, the rookie Aaron Judge has made it impossible not to cheer for them.

Happy Columbus Day!
Happy Columbus Day, especially to you leftist, politically correct liberals who want to destroy everything we grew up learning about. All it does is make you look foolish and stupid.
Here's the poem most of us normal kids learned in school: In 1492, Columbus sailed the ocean blue. Do they still teach about the Nina, the Pinta, and the Santa Maria, or is that forbidden, too?
Do they even teach anything about the explorers who made great discoveries under difficult circumstances? I doubt today's students can even conceive of a world that didn't include a cell phone and an Xbox in it. What a shame -- they're missing an awful lot!

Terrorist Playbook
The fact that the Las Vegas terrorist had also been looking into committing an attack against Boston, including Fenway Park, made me ill. (Chicago was another of his targets, but since the residents of Chicago are already murdering one another at staggering rates, he must have changed his mind.)
I thought of the time years ago where seven men were arrested for a plot against the Sears Tower and the FBI. "Gonzales said terror threats now may come from smaller, more loosely defined cells not directly affiliated by Al Qaeda 'but who are inspired by a violent jihadist message.' 'These 'homegrown terrorists' may be just as dangerous as Al Qaeda itself, he added, and they live in the areas they intend to attack.'"
Sound familiar?

Unnatural Disaster
As soon as this horrific massacre had ended, politics reared its ugly head, and the gun-control debate began anew.
What many have forgotten is that Paddock had ammonium nitrate in his car, a bomb-making ingredient, which was also used in Oklahoma City by Timothy McVeigh. We can only be thankful that didn't happen this time on top of the shooting spree!

Terror Attack in Las Vegas
When I heard the horrifying news this morning, I thought of San Bernardino, London, and Paris and wondered why Las Vegas is so shockingly vulnerable, despite those and other previous attacks. We had better beef up our security around the country right now before this happens again.
Those poor people. All they wanted to do was see a concert in peace and safety. This will be a wake-up call the way San Bernardino was.
