Some of the things I will never forget:
* Congress singing "God Bless America" on the steps of the Capitol, which was the intended target of Flight 93. Sadly, we'll never see that spirit of unity again.
*"The Falling Man"
* The shocking collapse of the seemingly invincible World Trade Towers
* The wonderful people of Gander, Newfoundland
* America's Mayor Rudy Giuliani keeping us informed and giving us confidence all during that day while President Bush was in flight
* Ted Olson's phone conversation with Barbara Olson, who was on Flight 77
* How every day for a year when I arrived at work after September 11, it was always 8:46 on my clock
* At a stunned, silent gathering in my office, someone spontaneously recited The Lord's Prayer,
* The heroes of Flight 93: "Let's roll"
* The brave firemen rushing into those buildings
* The shortage of American flags in the stores in the days after 9/11, as everyone rushed to display one
* The emotional singing of "God Bless America" during the 7th inning stretch at NY Yankees games
* The revolting conspiracy theories that started almost immediately
* The solemn & incredibly moving ceremony marking the removal of that last steel beam from Ground Zero
