No Dowd About the Clintons

I never liked Maureen Dowd except when she wrote about the Clintons, and she's been very popular with me lately. Today's column doesn't disappoint: "The Clintons — or 'the 2-headed monster,' as the The New York Post dubbed the tag team that clawed out wins in New Hampshire and Nevada — always go where they need to go, no matter the collateral damage. Even if the damage is to themselves and their party." I still have this yellowed column from 2000 pinned to my bulletin board: "Bill Is Not Going Away. Ever. The man who was president and the woman who wants to be president are shopping for a lavish house in Washington's fanciest neighborhoods." And this 2000 column also shows how ambitious Hillary was, even then.
