Unfair Welfair

Gee, what a shock! "THE TELEGRAPH: Welfare handouts aren’t fair – and the public knows it." . Welfare handouts are especially unfair when they are given to healthy, young men and women in return for absolutely nothing.  Wasn't welfare originally intended as a temporary measure instead of the lifetime, generational entitlement it's become? Obama says we should all sacrifice, and now he's talking about more taxes. Well, how about sacrificing by cutting welfare entitlements, or, at least, putting a sensible time limit on it? If our spineless politicians are afraid of losing the votes of welfare recipients, they should know they will get the votes of the rest of us.
