"Low Information Voters"

Lloyd Marcus has written a very good column about "low information voters". He says, "It sticks in my craw that conservatives/Republicans are leaning toward, in essence, becoming immoral, stupid, and un-American to win low information voters.  Folks, I cannot do that." I had never heard that expression, but it sounds like those who vote for Democrats because they want something for nothing. Republicans should not be dumbing down in their desperation for votes.
