Helpful Yiddish
I enjoy Harold Ticktin's "Yiddish Vinkl" column, and I partularly got a kick out of this anecdote: “Expressions Mr. Jacobs considers useful for the alert salesman’s
repertoire as he ventures into Jewish territory include yahrzeit,
mikvah, ungeblozzen, neshomeleh, mach schnell, Eretz Israel, rebbe,
tzaddik, goy, oy gevalt, paskudnik, yichus, kappora, tfillin, shlepper,
sheitel” (from review of book about Joseph Jacobs, 'Marketing
Consultants' on reaching Jewish consumers; commentarymagazine.com/article/on-the-horizon-one-touch-of-yiddish/".
