I must be crazy, but I half-expected Trump to make his speech flanked by Republican and Democratic leaders, and to declare the shutdown over. Too bad.
Read this summary at Instapundit, who comments, "Well, the Democrats have made clear that they value people who haven’t crossed the border (illegally) yet more highly than people who are already in this country. Or, alternatively, that they hate Trump more than they love the 'Dreamers.'"
I have to agree.
