Netanyahu Finally Responds to Biden

Since October 7, 2023, Biden has been constantly criticizing and attacking Israel; insulting Netanyahu; withholding arms; trying to blackmail Israel; interfering in Israel's war strategy -- all while Israel has been fighting for her very existence. Netanyahu has finally responded to all this harmful interference in his speech -- and now: "White House enraged after Netanyahu publicly slams Biden for withholding arms".

How's that for gall?

From Forbes"Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in a video on Tuesday it is “inconceivable” for the United States to be “withholding” weapons from Israel, marking some of the Israeli leader’s harshest public criticism of the Biden administration amid the Israel-Hamas war—though the administration said it doesn’t know what Netanyahu is referring to.

Key Facts

"Netanyahu said in a video he told Secretary of State Antony Blinken on his recent visit that he appreciates the support from the U.S. since the Oct. 7 Hamas attack that launched Israel’s Gaza invasion, but “it's inconceivable that in the past few months, the administration has been withholding weapons and ammunitions to Israel.”

"Netanyahu said Blinken assured him that the U.S. was “working day and night to remove these bottlenecks.”

"In early May, President Joe Biden paused a shipment of “high-payload munitions” to Israel out of concern Israel was going to launch a major attack in Rafah, the southern Gaza city in which more than 1.2 million civilians were taking refuge—though that is the only confirmed time the U.S. has withheld a planned weapons shipment from Israel.

"White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said in a press briefing Tuesday afternoon administration officials “do not know what he’s talking about,” adding there was the “one particular shipment of munitions that was paused” but “no other pauses or holds in place.”

Crucial Quote

During World War II, Churchill told the United States, ‘give us the tools, we'll do the job.’ And I say, give us the tools and we'll finish the job a lot faster,” Netanyahu said in the video.

Key Background

"Biden has become increasingly critical of Netanyahu’s approach to the war in Gaza as casualties mount and cease-fire talks remain elusive, with the administration arguing Israel’s military hasn’t done enough to avoid killing civilians and allow aid into Gaza. Biden also recently said “there is every reason for people to draw [the] conclusion” that Netanyahu has been prolonging the war for his own political self-preservation, though he later walked back those comments slightly, saying “he’s trying to work out a serious problem he has.” Before the May shipment was halted, Biden had warned the U.S. would pause weapons shipments if Israel moved forward with an operative in Rafah without appropriate plans in place to protect civilians. The shipment of weapons that was paused included thousands of 2,000-pound and 500-pound bombs, according to multiple outlets. A Biden administration official told reporters after the decision was announced that it had paused the shipment of those weapons specifically because they were worried about “the impact they could have in dense urban settings as we have seen in other parts of Gaza.” The Biden administration said in a report shortly after the shipment was halted that it is “reasonable to assess” Israel had broken international law throughout its war in Gaza, but there was no confirmation of any violations that would prompt a full cutoff of U.S. aid."
