Tom Lantos

Today, many Jewish groups are mourning Tom Lantos, the only Holocaust survivor ever to serve in the U.S. Congress: "As the Ranking Member and, most recently, Chair of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, Lantos stood out among Israel's most consistently enthusiastic supporters. He was one of the most outspoken critics of Israel's enemies and of the hypocritical treatment of Israel in the UN and other international bodies.
