Blame The Jews!

How do people think this way? "According to a German professor, Arnd Kr├╝ger, the 1972 Olympic massacre of eleven Israeli athletes was a twisted ploy to gain sympathy for the Jewish state." Just consider the source.

Barf Alert!

Did you ever?: "In show of solidarity, Obama supporters adopt his middle name." Should the rest of us change our middle name to Sidney?

"What Will They Do After Bush?"

Cassy Fiano asks a very good question: "What will they do after Bush?"
"There are so many lefties who are absolutely consumed with hatred of W. Once he's out of office and there's no one left to hate, what are they going to do with themselves? There'll be no more need for protesting the 'Bush regime'. There'll be no more reason to carry on with BDS. It'll be over. And I can't help but think that these lefties who hate W will be massively disappointed that their conspiracy theories weren't true. It seems to me like these people were enjoying their misery these past eight years thoroughly. It probably makes them feel so important to carry on with all of these protests, so sophisticated to deny America and align themselves with terrorists and their appeasers. They get attention for their stunts. And with Bush out of office, all of that will go away."

We Are All Nauseous

Spare me!:
"At the Official Barack Obama Blog Site: We Are All Palestinians. Today’s episode of the ongoing lunacy and anti-Americanism at the official Barack Obama blog site features a piece by Ulf Erlingsson, PhD, pleading for people to support convicted Islamic Jihad kingpin Sami Al-Arian."
I won't hold my breath waiting to see "We are all Israelis" on a candidate's website any time soon.

"Baracktose Intolerance"

I'm definitely suffering from this ailment:
"Baracktose intolerant (buh-RAK-tohs in-TOL-er-uhnt) adj. An increasingly common medical condition in which the affected person becomes violently sick in the stomach when exposed to adulation and deification of Barack Obama. Example: Though he was originally quite fond of Barack Obama, the weekly meetings of the University Democrats made Tom increasingly Baracktose intolerant."

The Enemy Within

Smooth Stone warns:
"Alert: Jews living in Denver, Colorado - Do not vote for Rima Barakat-Sinclair. Who is Rima Barakat-Sinclair? Oh, she's just another Muslim terror-apologist and Jew-hater running for office as a Republican for a State House seat in Colorado."

An Inconvenient Opera

Puccini and Verdi must be rolling in their graves. Ugh!: "Al Gore’s “Inconvenient Truth,” first a film and then a book, is now becoming an opera. Officials of the Milan opera house La Scala say the Italian composer Giorgio Battistelli has been commissioned to write it for the 2011 season, The Associated Press reported. Mr. Battistelli is currently the artistic director of the Arena in Verona."

Must-Not-See TV

Remind me to miss this program : "PBS Show to Argue Allies as Bad as Nazis. Members of the Greatest Generation - especially those with weak hearts - might want to steer clear of an upcoming PBS documentary that suggests the Allied victory in World War II was 'tainted' and questions whether it can even be called a victory."

"What Your Doctor Really Thinks"

Interesting Pile linked to this interesting article on what your doctor REALLY thinks. It's quite an eye-opener.

Young Kvetches

As a stickler for spelling, I got a kick out of this Michelle Malkin item about the "whiners of the day":
"Boo-hoo: High gas prices caused our mommy to cancel our 'cabel' tv because she didn’t have enough 'monny,' say two sisters who held a protest in Salt Lake City, Utah. Fewer cartoons–and time for more spelling lessons."

"Where Are The Anti-Racists?"

Over the weekend, a Jewish teen was beaten into a coma in France. Phyllis Chesler wonders where the outrage is:
"So, where are all the anti-racists now? I hear no condemnations. The silence is chilling. And all too predictable. Where are the mainstream media? Where is FOX, CNN, MSNBC, and the International Herald Tribune? (Only ABC ran a Reuters’ 190 word story earlier today). When I googled this story, the first three pages consisted of stories filed by small bloggers and mainly by Jewish and Israeli media. (Military Photos carried a story as well). But where are The Washington Post, The Los Angeles Times, The New York Times? For heaven’s sake: Where is Le Soir, Le Monde, and Figaro? Has France’s Channel 2 covered this?"

Firing Back

Right Wing News has a suggestion as to "How Israel Should Handle Violations Of The Ceasefire":
"Do you know what Israel should do -- and I'm dead serious about this -- Every time a missile flies into Israel, they should fire 5 back at important targets in the Palestinian territories -- power plants, government buildings, large businesses, etc, etc. Now, if they like, they could let the Palestinians know exactly what targets will be hit and pop off an air raid siren first, so that the people have 30 minutes to evacuate, which would minimize, but not eliminate casualties. But, the important thing would be that every time a missile goes towards Israel, 5 more should go back in the other direction. Within a few weeks, there won't be any more missiles flying towards Israel or the Palestinians will have to walk over piles of rubble to bury their dead. Either way, it would be a big improvement over the current situation, which features millions of savages, led by terrorists, waging a low intensity war against Israel with genocide as its ultimate goal. However, my guess is that if the Israelis ever get tired of fighting with both hands tied behind their backs and start blowing up enough Palestinian buildings and more importantly, killing enough Palestinians, suddenly the violence will stop and the peace in the Middle-East that people have wanted for so long will become possible. "

A Thought Showering Session

I heard about this on TV last night and thought it was a joke. It wasn't:
"A council has banned the term 'brainstorming' and replaced it with 'thought showers'. Tunbridge Wells Borough Council in Kent was accused of taking political correctness to extremes after instructing staff to make the change. The move came as council chiefs feared the word brainstorming might offend mentally ill people and those with epilepsy."

What Passes for Culture

This is what passes for "culture" today:
"Compared to "The Love Guru," "Get Smart" is "Citizen Kane." Mike Myers, as a blissed-out self-help charlatan named Guru Pitka, gets to ride a bejeweled elephant and an electric carpet and talk with a funny Indian accent. But his character, and a ramshackle plot about a lovelorn hockey star (played by Romany Malco) are only crude pretexts for crotch humor, toilet humor, sexual outuendo and a merciless succession of scenes involving flatulence, urination and a dislikable dwarf. This from Paramount, the studio of Cecil B. DeMille, W.C. Fields, "Sunset Boulevard," "Rear Window," "Psycho" and the road pictures of Bob Hope and Bing Crosby. The road taken by "The Love Guru" could hardly be lower, and leads nowhere."

The Tin Age

Remember the Golden Age of Television? We now must be living in the Tin Age. Get a load of this garbage: "Has Reality TV Hit Rock Bottom? Vomit's Got Its Own Reality Series This Summer."

"Fast Eddie Obama"

I just saw this at Lucianne.com. David Brooks of the New York Times writes: "But as recent weeks have made clear, Barack Obama is the most split-personality politician in the country today. On the one hand, there is Dr. Barack, the high-minded, Niebuhr-quoting speechifier who spent this past winter thrilling the Scarlett Johansson set and feeling the fierce urgency of now. But then on the other side, there’s Fast Eddie Obama, the promise-breaking, tough-minded Chicago pol who’d throw you under the truck for votes."

Enough Already

Charles Johnson writes: "I haven’t even wanted to write about this latest episode in folly, because it’s so maddening and depressing, but here it is. Israel is being pushed by the US to concede the Shebaa Farms (an area bordering the Golan Heights) to Hizballah. That would be bad enough, but Hizballah is openly mocking this attempt at appeasement by promising to continue killing Jews."

And Speaking of Terrorists...

Just look at this outrage, via Free Republic: "Obama advisers say bin Laden can appeal to U.S. courts"!

The Next Terrorist Attack

Cal Thomas says that the next terrorist attack is coming soon. "The next attack probably won't come by airplane. It will come in a shopping mall, or a school, or on Wall Street, or possibly all three. It will occur simultaneously in many places and probably kill more than the nearly 3,000 who died in 2001. Perhaps someone who manages to extricate himself from Guantanamo, thanks to a liberal judge, will lead the attack. What will the Supreme Court and State Department say to cleanse the blood from their hands?"

Great Scott!

I say good for Adam Scott's caddie, who confronted ugly hecklers at the U.S. Open. I've noticed the fans becoming more and more rude, loud, and boorish, and have often wished the marshals would just throw them off the course rather than letting them ruin one of the last civilized sports.

Politically Correct Story of the Week

I read this vile story yesterday but felt it was somehow sacreligious to post it on Flag Day. Smooth Stone reports: "Planck’s Constant has more alarming news about how spineless Americans and America has become where Muslims are involved. In this post, we learn from Bernie that Oregon’s southwest Portland elementary school officials, without a single Muslim complaint, in order to prevent the smidgin of likelihood, a sliver of chance, a particle of possibility that some Muslim might perhaps potentially be slightly offended, decided to exclude the Pledge of Allegiance from an elementary school’s ceremony."

The Midwest Floods

Has anyone else noticed in the TV coverage that there are no celebrities demanding help, no looters or rioters, nobody shooting at rescuers, and no finger-pointing at President Bush? "Drill! Drill! Drill!"

In his Wonder Land column, Daniel Henninger writes:
"At this point in time, is there another country on the face of the earth that would possess the oil and gas reserves held by the United States and refuse to exploit them? Only technical incompetence, as in Mexico, would hold anyone back. But not us. We won't drill....The Democrats' climate-change bill collapsed last week under the weight of brutal cost realities. It was a wake-up call. This is the year Americans joined the real world of energy costs. Now someone needs to explain to them why we – and we alone – are sitting on an ocean of energy but won't drill for it. You'd think the "national security" nominee, John McCain, would get this. He's clueless – a don't-drill zombie. We may mark this down as the year the U.S. tired of being a serious country."

Jim McKay

Here's a tribute to the great Jim McKay: "McKay, who died Saturday at his home in Monkton, Md., at the age of 86, always described the dark hours of Sept. 5, 1972, as the worst day of his life, even though his work that day in the ABC studio has always been characterized as the finest performance of a man who was arguably the greatest television sports broadcaster of his generation."

It's Haveil Havalim Time!

I disagree with the title but love the Carnival anyway, so here is an otherwise excellent version of Haveil Havalim #168 - the Celtics Must Lose Edition over at Jack's Shack!

Obama: Alien From Another World

Take Pepto Bismol and a tranquilizer before reading this nauseating piece by San Francisco's Mark Morford on Obama, "the Lightworker":
"Many spiritually advanced people I know (not coweringly religious, mind you, but deeply spiritual) identify Obama as a Lightworker, that rare kind of attuned being who has the ability to lead us not merely to new foreign policies or health care plans or whatnot, but who can actually help usher in a new way of being on the planet, of relating and connecting and engaging with this bizarre earthly experiment. These kinds of people actually help us evolve. They are philosophers and peacemakers of a very high order, and they speak not just to reason or emotion, but to the soul."

The Case of The Shrieking Shiek

AT his trial, 9/11 mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed is seeking death, and I think we should happily oblige. But his real concern seems to be the way the court artist has portrayed his nose. The Sydney Morning Herald summed up the whole outrageous story here in this headline: "Mastermind can pick his own nose".

Andrea Peyser writes:
"If only Daniel Pearl, who this maniac is said to have personally beheaded, had the opportunity to comment on his treatment at the infantile tyrant's hands. If only the thousands slaughtered at the World Trade Center in 2001, another piece of work masterminded by this filth, had been given the opportunity to change their fate. But Khalid didn't like his picture, so it had to go. Immediately! His nose looked too wide, the vain vampire cried. So the courtroom artist was given more time to redraw it to his liking. A Defense Department spokesman insisted that the artist was not ordered to alter the image - but given extra time to get it right. Let's face it. No amount of time could make that jackass pretty. But flatter him, we must. Ah, America!"

D-Day: The Sixth of June

Here is Eisenhower's inspiring D-Day speech to the troops:
"Soldiers, Sailors and Airmen of the Allied Expeditionary Force!
You are about to embark upon the Great Crusade, toward which we have striven these many months. The eyes of the world are upon you. The hopes and prayers of liberty-loving people everywhere march with you.
In company with our brave Allies and brothers-in-arms on other Fronts, you will bring about the destruction of the German war machine, the elimination of Nazi tyranny over the oppressed peoples of Europe, and security for ourselves in a free world. Your task will not be an easy one. Your enemy is well trained, well
equipped and battle hardened. He will fight savagely. But this is the year 1944! Much has happened since the Nazi triumphs of 1940-41. The United Nations have inflicted upon the Germans great defeats,
in open battle, man-to-man. Our air offensive has seriously reduced their strength in the air and their capacity to wage war on the ground. Our Home Fronts have given us an overwhelming superiority in weapons and munitions of war, and placed at our disposal great reserves of trained fighting men. The tide has turned! The free men of the world are marching together to Victory! I have full confidence in your courage and devotion to duty and skill in battle. We will accept nothing less than full Victory! Good luck! And let us beseech the blessing of Almighty God upon this great and noble undertaking. SIGNED: Dwight D. Eisenhower"
If only we had such leaders, such troops, and such courage today!

Obama's Chickens

Israpundit offers this handy graphic that shows that Obama's own chickens are coming home to roost.
And here's an item from Argus Hamilton's latest column:
"Barack Obama apologized for his friend, Catholic priest Michael Pfleger, who went on a racial rant while he was the guest preacher at Obama's Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago on Sunday. The priest has called Louis Farrakhan a gift from G-d, infuriating Jewish groups. The good news is Mel Gibson has a new place to worship."

"Only a Scarf"

Atlas Shrugs has a lot about Rachael Ray and keffiyeh "fashion". Maybe the photos shown here will help explain why we Jews find it so repulsive.

If Tell-All Books Were Written in 1944...

Rightwing Nuthouse has a brilliant alternate history: "June 1, 1944. Former presidential friend and aide Harry Hopkins says in a new book that President Roosevelt 'misled' the people of the United States about the war and has carried on an intimate relationship with another woman for many years."
