An Inconvenient Opera

Puccini and Verdi must be rolling in their graves. Ugh!: "Al Gore’s “Inconvenient Truth,” first a film and then a book, is now becoming an opera. Officials of the Milan opera house La Scala say the Italian composer Giorgio Battistelli has been commissioned to write it for the 2011 season, The Associated Press reported. Mr. Battistelli is currently the artistic director of the Arena in Verona."
