The Case of The Shrieking Shiek

AT his trial, 9/11 mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed is seeking death, and I think we should happily oblige. But his real concern seems to be the way the court artist has portrayed his nose. The Sydney Morning Herald summed up the whole outrageous story here in this headline: "Mastermind can pick his own nose".

Andrea Peyser writes:
"If only Daniel Pearl, who this maniac is said to have personally beheaded, had the opportunity to comment on his treatment at the infantile tyrant's hands. If only the thousands slaughtered at the World Trade Center in 2001, another piece of work masterminded by this filth, had been given the opportunity to change their fate. But Khalid didn't like his picture, so it had to go. Immediately! His nose looked too wide, the vain vampire cried. So the courtroom artist was given more time to redraw it to his liking. A Defense Department spokesman insisted that the artist was not ordered to alter the image - but given extra time to get it right. Let's face it. No amount of time could make that jackass pretty. But flatter him, we must. Ah, America!"
