She played Miss Brahms on "Are You Being Served?" and Pauline Fowler on "EastEnders". The wonderful Wendy Richards has died at 65. I've been a fan of both shows and have watched "EE" for the past 15+ years; her Pauline was one of the greatest and most believable characters, and I loved her.

Political correctness, frivolous lawsuits, and illegal immigration are all out of control in this country. The unbelievable verdict in the story of the rancher on whose land illegals encroached represents all three issues run completely amuck:

"...you will be glad to know that the jury ruled that Barnett did not violate the 'civil rights' of the illegal aliens. But .... the jury did award $78,000 in actual and punitive damages to six of the illegal aliens on claims of assault and emotional distress. Isn't that just wonderful? You defend your property and suddenly you're forking over big bucks because you caused some degree of emotional distress in the people you find trespassing."

I received the below post from a fellow conservative at work today. I don't know if it's one of those Snopes urban legends or not...but I sure like the sentiment anyway!

I know we tolerated each other for many years for the sake of future generations, but sadly, this relationship has run its course. Here is a model dissolution agreement. Our two groups can equitably divide up the country by landmass each taking a portion. I almost drove off the road when I heard this news today:

"British lawmakers condemned the Al Jazeera network for broadcasting a Muslim cleric's sermon in which he celebrates the Holocaust and prays for the killing of all Jews. Sheik Yusuf al-Quaradawi, who hosts the popular program 'Shariah and Life' on the Arabic language international news network, described the Holocaust as 'divine punishment' and prayed to Allah to kill Jews 'down to the very last one.'

They ought to call that program "Shariah and Death", since that's all they talk about. Britain should take Al Jazeera off the air -- or would that offend the Muslims?
