I am watching the great film "The Longest Day" on AMC. The bravery and sacrifice of our troops, and that of the civilians of the French Resistance, never fail to impress and awe me.
Here's a moving article about how the French have "adopted" American war dead and have promised "that they, or their families, will place flowers on each adopted gravesite annually, in perpetuity."
