Beverly Beckham asks, "Where’s the outrage over drunk drivers?"
She writes, "Driving drunk isn’t a mistake. It’s a crime. In the past 10 years, in Massachusetts alone, police have made more than 200,000 arrests. But second-hand smoke enrages us more." I agree. And even after all these years of warnings about the dangers of such things as driving drunk; smoking; sunbathing and skin cancer; using drugs; and driving recklessly, people continue to do it anyway, with total disregard for anyone else. Let's stop wasting millions of dollars on ad campaigns that people choose to ignore.
