I agree with the New York Times regarding the NBC interview with Bode Miller. It was so uncomfortably intrusive I had to turn the station. Instead of letting decency and discretion suffice, today's "journalists" must resort to provoking feelings for ratings. It's too bad.
Also, most people watch the Olympics for the sports, not for the back story. If you want strong emotions, go watch Jerry Springer or Maury Povich.
