The Disappearing Value of Hard Work
Read this Larry Kudlow column, and also read the comments. I like this one by Kurt NY: "I have no particular issue with someone choosing not to work extra hours
to qualify for employer-based health care should they have the
resources to pay for that insurance on their own - it's just everyday
prioritizing. However, if what we are talking about (and, for the most
part, we are), is someone choosing not to work those hours because
someone else will be paying that health insurance bill, that is not
freeing, it's parasitism. Sure, you are 'free' not to work those hours,
but someone else has to pay more taxes to pay the bill for you." (Cartoon by Michael Ramirez.)
