As soon as I heard that Barney Frank wasn’t running for reelection, I wondered what Howie Carr would have to say! I wasn't disappointed -- he starts off his column this way: "Christmas in November!  Our long national nightmare is over. No need for Santa Claus to bring me anything this year, because I got my present yesterday at Newton City Hall when Barney Frank threw in his hand."
