Unusual Friendships

It's always interesting to hear about people's friendships. In this article, I learned that boxer Gene Tunney was friends with George Bernard Shaw and Ernest Hemingway.  And I read that Groucho Marx and T.S. Eliot were penpals.  Some other odd pairings I can think of include Don Rickles and Bob Newhart; and Marlon Brando and Wally Cox.
