See the Drudge Report today for new poverty statistics. The UK Daily Mail's headline is "U.S. sees highest poverty spike since the 1960s, leaving 50 million Americans poor as government cuts billions in spending... so does that mean there's no way out?" Well, there was a way out in November, when these same poor Americans could have voted for Romney! Instead, they reelected the man who promised them free stuff -- and now look where it's gotten them!
And look where it's gotten the rest of us. We will have to pay even higher taxes now to support all these people, including all the millions of illegal aliens Obama's welcoming, and I resent it. He will use these reports to talk about the evil rich and the Republicans who starve children. Naturally none of this is his fault.
He continues to claim the economy is booming. But even MarketWatch, which is usually a cheerleader for Obama, has some discouraging headlines this morning.
Welcome to "the new normal" -- a weaker America.
