Displaying Our Patriotism
Wasn't this wonderful, the crowd at the Boston Bruins game singing "The Star Spangled Banner"? I liked how the singer, recognizing the emotion, let the fans take over. It's a shame scenes like this are surprising and make headlines. This scene should have been the norm since September 11, and of course, for a while, "God Bless America" became the rally cry at sports games. But we should display our patriotism every day rather than just after terrorist attacks on our country and on our citizens. I hope it continues.
