Redistribution of Jobs

I was a bit surprised to see this article about the real unemployment numbers in the liberal Jewish Daily Forward, and the fact that people have stopped bothering to look for work.  Usually the liberal news outlets don't admit these things.  However, I strongly disagree with J.J. Goldberg's suggestion that "We might divide up jobs, giving everyone a 30-hour work week and ensuring that every job pays enough to live decently."  Sorry -- under Obama we already have the redistribution of wealth; I don't want the redistribution of our jobs as well.
