Saving Both of His Faces

Oh brother:  "White House and State Department officials said Monday they’re open to proposals by Russia to put Syria’s stocks of chemical weapons under international control, but that such talk is no reason for the U.S. to back away from President Barack Obama’s threat of a military strike."  Russia will look like great diplomats coming to our rescue, and Obama will probably claim credit for it, as if he didn't get us into this mess in the first place. He is a real дурачить (fool), and he's succeeded in making our country look weak and stupid.
