That Was a Man

Today is the 75th anniversary of Lou Gehrig's courageous farewell speech at Yankee Stadium.  ESPN has a nice tribute, and so has The Daily Beast, with an excerpt from Ray Robinson's wonderful book "Iron Horse".  Sadly, there is still no cure for ALS.
