Greg Crosby writes this about baseball: "The one sport that I thought might be immune to left-wing politics and America bashing has now jumped onto the Marxist bandwagon. So very sad." I agree. I want to watch a sport for the excitement of the game, not to be lectured about race or any other topic.

The word tsukerkrenk, meaning diabetes, is the focus of today's Yiddish Vinkl by Harold Ticktin. He notes that "in the German literature, diabetes came to be known as the Judenkrankheit, or 'Jewish disease.'" Of course it did.
