Tribute in Light Goes Dark

So you can loot and riot all you want, and you can take part with 250,000 others in the Sturgis motorcycle ride -- but you can't for one night allow the Tribute in Light display to commemorate the September 11 terrorist attacks and honor the dead?  That's really sad.  New York without the Tribute in Light is like New York without the twin towers.
