Court: Illegal Immigrant not entitled to benefits

GREENSBORO -- An illegal immigrant treated at a Greensboro hospital is not entitled to Medicaid benefits for chemotherapy because it didn't treat an emergency medical condition, the state Supreme Court unanimously ruled Friday.

The precedent-setting decision overturned an N.C. Court of Appeals ruling that found that Medicaid coverage was appropriate because Hector Diaz would have died without chemotherapy.

Just the fact that the Supreme Court had to get involved -- even though the outcome was not in the immigrant's favor -- shows the collapse of our society. Millions of American citizens are working and paying taxes and paying our own medical bills. How is it that illegal aliens have been turned into sympathetic "victims"? If illegals want free health care, then LEGALS should get free health care as well!
