I agree with this Daily Mail article about women who wear tattoos, "the most tasteless, tacky, tawdry, terrible plague to infect our nation since mad cow disease."

YES!! We have a regular patron at our library whose arms are covered with tattoos. They define her to the point that when she came in with a jacket, I didn't know who she was.
