Last night at Free Republic, many people were commenting on Obama's jobs speech. Comment #507 was one of the best: "There is a pattern to his speeches. False choices. He only gives two. His banter is always grow government, or you don't care about kids and family. Cut government never an option. Raise taxes is only 'fair'" It was the same old thing, and obviously Wall Street wasn't reassured by it! As usual, he talked about cuts to Medicare and Social Security -- but no mention of cutting welfare.
A question: if Washington has known for two days about the latest terrorist plot, then why didn't Obama take the opportunity to discuss this threat last night in his speech?
