Catch up on this week's news and culture thanks to Betsy's Page, Maggie's Farm, and Larwyn's Linx.
In PC news, here's an article I thought was a parody at first:"Is Ole Miss—Sorry, O** M***—NSFW? Olé, Olé, Olé! University of Mississippi discourages use of its
nickname after finding that hardly anybody thinks it offensive." What's truly offensive is that people are wasting their time talking about nicknames and team names when the world is on fire.
Ben Stein writes about "The World Thoroughly Off Kilter." I'll say! He says, "But in a world where you are born criminal by being born a Jew and
especially an Israeli, logic has no place. Facts have no place. The only
place is given to Jew hatred. It is in the soil in Europe and the
Middle East, its ugly smell blows all over the world. What’s new
is that Mr. Obama, the first openly anti-Israel President since the
pitiful Jimmy Carter, is signing up America onto this blood libel
bandwagon."
