Mazel Tov! Israel Hits Back at Iran

From  The Washington Post, the typical wording:

"Israel carried out a strike on Iran early Friday in retaliation for a barrage of missiles and drones launched last weekend, an Israeli official said. It was not clear what damage the apparently limited strike caused in central Iran, but the official — who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss sensitive military matters — said it was intended to signal to Iran that Israel has the ability to strike inside the country. Secretary of State Antony Blinken declined to comment on whether Washington was warned about the strike, but he emphasized that “the United States has not been involved in any offensive operations.

"Iranian state media was muted in its response to the attack, saying Iran’s air defense systems intercepted 'three small drones' in Isfahan province. There was no damage to Iran’s nuclear sites, including those in Isfahan, the International Atomic Energy Agency said Friday morning. Isfahan is the site of Iran’s largest nuclear research complex; the area is also home to a military base.

"World leaders call for restraint; Turkey and Oman condemn Israeli attacks

"United Nations Secretary General António Guterres 'reiterates that it is high time to stop the dangerous cycle of retaliation in the Middle East' and 'condemns any act of retaliation,' Stéphane Dujarric, a spokesman for Guterres, said in a statement Friday. He 'appeals to the international community to work together to prevent any further development that could lead to devastating consequences for the entire region and beyond,' Dujarric said."

No, why don't appeal to Iran, Hamas, Syria and Lebanon to stop?  A reminder: Israel is the victim, while the enemies are the aggressors.

Whatever Iran says happen is always a downplaying of whatever really happened -- remember Baghdad Bob in Iraq?

Look how tiny Israel is on the above map, surrounded by enemies. Why does everyone always ask this tiny state to "show restraint"?

Again, why should Israel seek permission from Blinken and Biden to strike back, especially after the threats and demands by them?
