Headline Writers Need Their Heads Examined

Yesterday I spotted this headline in a news roundup: "BODYCAM: Woman attacks officers in Toledo Walmart after questioning over animals left in hot car, police say"

The first sentence was "TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) - A woman was arrested on Tuesday after police say she attacked officers in a Toledo Walmart as they questioned her about malnourished animals they found in her hot vehicle."

When I skimmed the article further, I was instantly sorry I had. The "woman" was a man. With beard and mustache.

Can anyone explain why these so-called journalists continue to insult readers by pretending that men are women?

Orwell was right when he said you'd be told to "reject the evidence of your eyes and ears".
