Pre-Christmas Hysteria

Unfortunately I had to go out today and nearly got run over by shoppers in the Christmas madness. It reminded me of the scene in "The Day After" when the people rush to the supermarket and grab anything they can get before the nuclear bomb hits. It also reminded me of the running of the bulls. People were rampaging up and down aisles, snatching anything and everything off the shelves without even looking at prices. It was a relief to get home in one piece. I hate to imagine what the stores and the roads will be like tomorrow and Monday!
