Little Green Footballs has its polls open till December 31 at http://littlegreenfootballs.com/weblog/?entry=23806_Anti-Idiotarian_of_the_Year_2006_Voting_Open&only. You can vote only once in each category.
In simple terms, an "idiotarian", a word used by bloggers, is an idiot, usually with a left-leaning political bent, people like Cindy Sheehan, Kofi Annan, and Jimmy Carter. An "anti-idiotarian", a phrase coined by LGF's Charles Johnson, is a person standing firm against idiotarians, such as our former Ambassador, John Bolton.
http://www.littlegreenfootballs.com/weblog/?entry=2091Here's the 2002 LGF post that best defines these perfect words:
Glenn Reynolds answers the question “Where are all the non-libertarian bloggers? What bloggers are more than anything, I think, is anti-idiot. That makes life tough for Noam Chomsky, Cornel West, and the Revs. Falwell, Robertson, Jackson, & Sharpton, for reasons that transcend traditional partisanship and ideology." That’s it exactly! I really don’t care to affiliate myself with any of the current political parties. But if there were an Anti-Idiotarian Party™, I’d be a member for life.
