Complacency

Someone was on TV earlier saying that America has returned to its pre-9/11 complacency. Explain to me how you can forget so quickly that 4 jets were used as terrorist weapons, that 2 indestructible skyscrapers collapsed, that 2,000+ people were murdered, that survivors live with burns and nightmares. I wondered after Oklahoma City how much worse it would have to get before Americans became outraged enough. At that time, 168 innocents were killed. That was in 1995, 2 years after the first World Trade Center bombing. How can people forget these things? Much of it is explained by political correctness, a reluctance by many to tell the difference between good and evil, and right & wrong; an inability or refusal to judge. So again I ask: how much worse will it get, and how many more thousands will have to die, before Americans wake up?
