We Don't Need No Stinking Badges

From what I have read, the story about Iranian Jews being made to wear yellow star badges of identification is now being reported as not completely true. It has not definitely been reported as a hoax -- but the story hasn't been entirely withdrawn, either. If it turns out to be a hoax, it only gives the antisemites yet another excuse to blame the Jews. And if it is a hoax, it gives the newspaper world another black eye.
