The Truth Hurts

Alicia Colon is courageous to speak the politically incorrect truth in her column titled "Starving children? Blame the parents."  She ends by saying

"When this column is posted on Twitter, it will garner hateful comments calling me an insensitive, unfeeling and a typical cold-hearted conservative. But at least my eyes are open." 

I guess it's better to blame Bush or the Republicans rather than dare to blame the families themselves or to ask why kids in America are starving despite all the government programs that send them checks and feed them.
